Emergency Action Plan

EAP's For All Atwell Office Locations

In an emergency, it is important to consider the following:

  • Conditions under which an evacuation would be necessary.
  • Conditions under which it may be better to shelter-in-place.
  • A clear chain of command with the designation of the person(s) in your office who will facilitate the evacuation.
  • Evacuation procedures specific to your office; including floor plans, routes and exits.
  • Location of alarm pulls (if any), fire extinguishers, First Aid kits and Automated External Defibrillators (AED’s).
  • Having Emergency Response Team (ERT) members who have been trained to respond to an emergency.

Each ERT member is equipped with an Emergency Response bag. The contents of the bag include:

  1. Flash light/extra batteries
  2. ERT orange vest
  3. Soft First Aid kit
  4. Rescue mask
  5. Supply of Safety light sticks
  6. Gloves (non-latex)
  7. Kleenex
  8. Hand Sanitizer
  9. Two-Way radios (larger offices)

Once at the Muster Point, employees should report to the EAP Coordinator/ Warden for accountability purposes.

The EAP is a written document that’s built in a flip chart format to allow easy access to needed information.

Our goal is to communicate what our employees should do in the event of an emergency.

Stay safe!

Below is our Emergency Response Teams by location as well as EAP by locations.

Emergency Action Plans

Action Steps

If an emergency occurs, stay calm, and perform these three steps…..

• CHECK

• CALL

• CARE

Check

Check the scene and check the person

• Is it safe?

• What happened?

• How many people are involved?

• Is there immediate danger involved?

• Is anyone else available to help?

• Check for life-threatening conditions (Unconsciousness, no breathing, severe bleeding)

Call

Call 9-1-1 or the local emergency number

 • Call for help is the most important action you can take to help an ill or injured person who needs care.

Care

Care for the person based on the conditions you find

• Call 9-1-1 first

• Then give care
